Boat permits may be obtained from the Canton Police Department located at 555 W Hwy 243.
Cherry Creek Park (1200 Cherry Creek Road)
Cherry Creek Park is a great place for family picnics with its playscape, picnic tables and grills. The park also has marked nature trails; a walking trail (approximately 1/2 mile around), which includes an exercise circuit nature trail; and a wildlife observation deck. The park has a fantastic 18-hole frisbee golf course. You may bring your own equipment or buy some from the Canton Visitors Bureau at 119 N. Buffalo (903-567-1851). Located off Old Kaufman Road.
Old City Lake (987 Old Kaufman Road)
Pier and bank fishing, swimming (no lifeguard on duty), picnic areas, playground, lighted tennis and volleyball courts, baseball and soccer fields. Call City Hall at (903) 567-1841 to reserve softball fields. Located on Old Kaufman Road, off Hwy. 64 west, main entrance beside Free State Storage.
Canton City Lake “Mill Creek Reservoir” (410 Arnold Paul Road)
Boat ramp for fishing and sailboats, swimming (no lifeguard on duty).

First Monday Park (110 Groves Street) and Civic Center (800 Flea Market Rd)

Baseball Fields – CYRA (24692 State Hwy. 64E)
Call 903-567-1841 to reserve fields. Located off Hwy. 64 near Hwy. 243 intersection.

Van Zandt Country Club
Private club with 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, pro shop, clubhouse and dining. 903-567-4884. Located on north access road to I-20 between Hwy. 19 and FM 859.
