Since the Main Street Program was initiated, Canton has had more than $250,000 reinvested in the downtown buildings for restoration and has advanced 15 projects for the betterment of the City in addition to implementing its five-year Master Plan.

One of these projects was the start of an Adult Education Program in 2002 to better fulfill our workforce base with steady increases in attendance each semester. This program has more than met expectations with many young and older adults receiving their GED and working toward job promotions.
